To claim the exemptions students will need to register as a CIM member within 3 years of graduating and then have up to 5 years from graduating to complete the additional module to gain the full qualification. If you need to repeat one or more units during your studies the pricing will be pro-rata of the full-time fee. We will ask you to pay the CIM Affiliate Studying Membership fee of £65 directly to the CIM on registering for the CIM programme. This covers the cost of CIM membership for your first year of study on the CIM programme. Students on this course will have come from a wide range of backgrounds but all will have demonstrated their drive to succeed in the business environment. We would encourage applicants who are interested in new ideas, can express themselves well, work effectively in teams and can demonstrate a wide range of interests. A 30-week supervised work placement in the UK or overseas which gives you the opportunity to turn theory into practice in a business environment.
The dissertation forms an important part of the assessment of the MSc Marketing Programme, carrying a weighting of 60 credits. The dissertation involves demonstration of ability to execute a research plan and independent investigation. The investigation can rely on primary data collected by the student, on secondary data available in the literature, or a mix of both. The dissertation will reflect skills of formulating research questions, synthesising information and analysing data, drawing insights and conclusions, and written communication.
