Anyone applying from a country where English is not the first language is required to take an official test of English language obtaining at least IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest. When considering human resources management, you’ll participate in practical workshops. Yet for international students, the availability of the Entrepreneurship pathway is subject due to the latest visa regulations. Depending on availability, you can also choose to study a modern language as your optional module, from absolute beginners to advanced level in British Sign Language, Mandarin Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Spanish or Russian. This module will look at the relationship between the human resources, their competencies and skills, policies and practices to the overall corporate strategy of the organisation. Global Marketing and Communications This module will focus on both marketing and marketing communications, an area of cross-over which is often overlooked in industry. This module is about joined-up thinking, a key asset in marketing and communicating to a global audience. You will learn to critically evaluate factors affecting international marketing with communications approaches and dissect issues in developing international marketing with communications globally.

Your self-confidence will improve and you will develop valuable skills for the future, all of which are highly valued by employers. You can also participate in a large number of business societies, business events and peer-support schemes. The library hold a limited number of copies of core text books and where possible in e-format. You will be encouraged to purchase your own text books and will need to budget approximately £80-£100 for the year, depending on your programme of study.   • If you choose to join and complete the mapped modules, you will receive a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice on completion of your degree.

  • Students who hold a Bachelor Honours degree (also known as Baccalaureus Honores / Baccalaureus Cum Honoribus) from a recognised institution will be considered for Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters degrees.

You’ll be given feedback on any exams that you take; if you should fail an exam we will ensure that particularly detailed feedback is made available to enable you to learn for the future. The timetable for lectures and classes covers around 22 hours a week, allowing time for you to do your own reading and learning. Ma International Business

Students have an opportunity to broaden their international experience by taking part in study tours embedded alongside our programmes throughout the year. Assessment is integrated with learning and teaching to support and demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes for individual modules and the programme as a whole. Emphasis is placed on the feedback function of formative assessment as part of the learning, teaching and assessment strategy as a whole. However, you may be required to travel to the King’s Buildings if you are studying courses in Science and Engineering. You will choose at least three more specialist Honours courses in key areas of international business or one or two Honours courses in other subject areas.
