The terms of the contract must be devised in a way that it is beneficial to both sides. This calls for key negotiation skills on the part of the works manager.

The conflict between business management and operations is commonplace across all industry verticals, and managers have to deal with them. Managers, especially the newly recruited, have to consult their superior at critical junctures. Staff members can also be consulted for how effectively to balance such priorities. The most successful business managers are those who fully understand the value and importance of teamwork.
